how the gift pot worksHow it works
- Launch. You cook a coin here: it is created on pump.fun with the Kimchiverse fee account as its creator. The launch fee (0.02 SOL) goes into the coin's own gift pot, all of it.
- Fees. Every trade of the coin pays pump.fun's creator fee (and PumpSwap's after it graduates). Anyone can collect it into the coin: 30% to the dev, 70% into the gift pot. The pad keeps nothing. Each coin keeps the split it was launched with.
- Gift. Anyone can press GIFT on a coin (the keeper does it all the time). The program spends one chunk of the pot on $Kimchi in its canonical PumpSwap pool, under a price guard.
- Delivered. Every $Kimchi bought goes straight to Kimchi's wallet in the same transaction, with the memo
Kimchiverse gift from $TICKER
. Nothing stays with the pad.
One gift
- A gift needs at least 0.02 SOL in the pot and spends at most 1 SOL, never more than 0.5% of the pool's SOL side and never more than 0.2% of it (so a sandwich around a gift does not pay), so one gift barely moves the price.
- A smaller pot (from 0.001 SOL) is gifted too once its coin has gone 7 days without a gift: no SOL waits forever.
- Price guard: the keeper writes a $Kimchi price reading every 30 s. A gift needs 5 readings younger than 600 s that agree, and the live quote must give at least what the median promises after the pool fee, minus 3% slippage.
- One gift per slot for the whole pad (all gifts trade one pool). A gift transaction may hold only Kimchiverse instructions, so nobody can wrap it in a sandwich in the same transaction.
- The caller pays the network fee, once ever the gifter's PumpSwap volume account (about 0.0018 SOL), and Kimchi's token account rent only if Kimchi closed it.
Numbers
Read live from the program's Config account.
Trust
- The admin can pause new launches, propose new numbers (they take effect after 24 h), rotate the admin in two steps, and change the recipient or the target token behind a 3-day timelock with an on-chain event.
- The pool is always the canonical PumpSwap pool of the target token: the admin cannot pick a route.
- There is no admin path to a gift pot, to a dev's share or to a gift in flight. Pause never blocks collect, gift or claims.
- Every lamport is booked: the dev share is rounded down, the rest goes to the pot. The program checks after every step that a coin holds at least its rent + pot + dev share.
- pump.fun, PumpSwap and their fee programs are upgradeable by their owners; their fee tiers may change.
Risks
- Inside the price band someone can move the price up to about the slippage before a gift and sell after: at worst about 3% of one chunk.
- Gifts also pay PumpSwap's coin creator fee of $Kimchi, which goes to Kimchi's own fee config.
- If $Kimchi's canonical pool ever stops being the venue, gifts wait (pots stay safe, claims work) until a recipient / token change.
- Kimchiverse has no token of its own. Coins launched here are ordinary pump.fun coins and can go to zero.
